Christmas Eve

Today is Christmas eve! Tomorrow is Christmas!! I'm starting to actually get in the mood for Christmas now and I'm loving it. We finished shopping last night. I still have to pick up one or two things from the dollar store and walmart but we're done with presents!! I can't wait to go to bed tonight and get tomorrow started. We're going to have alot of fun tomorrow. We're getting up and doing Christmas moring at our house, then leaving to head to my parents. I think Darren's sister is coming to meet us at my parents so we can exchange gifts with her before we bring the kids to meet their mom. I'm not sure what we're doing for new years eve yet but I'm sure it'll be fun! I won't be updating this blog until January 5th so if anyone reads this I hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!!

3 more days

Well it's 3 more days until Christmas and I'm not even in a Christmas mood yet!! I'm not all excited like I normally am. It might be bc me and Darren aren't doing Christmas with eachother and the only shopping I've done is for the kids and our parents. But I don't know. I just have the holiday blues!
Today is our christmas lunch with my dayjob and we're going to eat at The Boilint Point at 2:00. My belly is going to be full of boiled shrimp!!! Yum!!

Gumbo

I made a kick ass chicken and sausage gumbo last night! Oh my gosh it was amazing! I brought the whole pot to work today so that's what I'm eating for lunch and I'm sure a few other people will too.
Well anyway, Friday we're going to the kids' Christmas program at their school and we're going to have to get up at 5 something in the morning and leave for 6 so we can be there before 9 which is when it starts. Fun fun!
I'm going to **hopefully** finish up our Christmas shopping tonight when I get off. I was grocery shopping at Walmart last night and ended up only buying one gift. Out of that whole store, I could only find one gift for one person out of the numerous people we're buying for this year. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed for tonight though..

10 days and counting

Our weekend was pretty uneventful. I worked Friday and Saturday night and btw those two nights brought home over $200 in tips! We woke up yesterday and hung out with the kids and then eventually brought them home. We're going to start christmas shopping today after I get off work. We have a dinner date since we'll be in Lafayette and I'm hoping for some Coyote Blues fajitas...yum!!!!! Not too much to blog about today. There's 10 more days until Christmas and it really doesn't feel like it. I haven't thought about what to buy people and last year I was armed with a list of stuff when I went shopping...this year, that's not the story. Oh well..I suppose I'll be browsing the internet today looking for ideas. My dad is already bought for but we have my stepmom and younger brother, my husbands parents, sister and her kids and then my husbands children to buy for. I don't believe we're buying for eachother and instead I think we're getting a flat screen tv for our bedroom. It sure would be nice to be buying for a baby for christmas but hopefully next year :)

Friday!

Woo hoo today is FRIDAY!! Woot woot! Okay yeah that's a little too much but I'm excited that I get to sleep in tomorrow. I made $100.52 last night at work and I only had 3 tables but one left me $80 for 11 ppl! We're not doing anything special this weekend. I have to work tonight and tomorrow night. Darren is going to pick up the kids tomorrow morning while I'm sleeping in. I'll probably do some cleaning up before I go in and that'll be it. Sunday I'm wanting to go Christmas shopping but it depends on when he brings the kids home.
I feel ALOT better than I did yesterday. I was so busy at work last night I didn't realize how bad I was cramping and hurting. It wasn't until I was at home in the shower when it hit me. I had to take 1/2 a Loritab just to be able to go to sleep. I slept gooooooooood!

Spoke too soon

AF showed up about 30 mins ago. I've been crampy today but was hoping it was nothing. It's very heavy and usually my first day is very light though. I feel like shit now. Oh well...onto the next cycle.

SNOW SNOW SNOW

IT SNOWED IN LOUISIANA!!! Well yesterday was rainy and it got into the 30's last night so those two mixed together equals SNOW IN LOUISIANA!! Our yard actually had a pretty nice blanket of snow and our cars had a decent amount of snow on them also. I took pics and will post one or two on here tomorrow. I left the camera at home this morning after I took pics.

First post!!

Well this is my first post. I'm not sure if I'll even keep up with this blog but I'm atleast starting one. I quit taking birth control in July. Darren was in India from July 25th until September something, and was home for 2 weeks. Then flew back to India for another 6 weeks and flew home in November. So I guess we actually started TTC in November. Well I'm CD 36 now and no sign of AF!! Since July, I've started anywhere between the 3rd and 5th....well today is the 10th. I've taken probably 4 tests and all have came back negative. When I was pregnant with our son I knew I was pregnant before I was even late. Even though I had taken about 5 or 6 tests that were saying no, I knew! I guess I'll give it a few more days and test again. Today is Weds and I took a test Monday afternoon and one Tuesday morning. If AF hasn't shown her ugly face by Friday, I'm testing again.
