My sweet little tater tot is a year old! It seems so surreal. This past year has had it's ups and downs, sad moments, happy moments, good tears, & bad tears. I know this is just the beginning too. I look at my toddler in amazement. She's so smart and she's constantly learning new things. She's beginning to get more and more independent and it's great. I am so proud of everything she has accomplished so far. She's learned to hold her own bottle, feed herself, roll over, crawl, walk, she knows that a shirt goes on her head, she knows that a phone goes to her ear, she knows that shoes go on her feet, she knows who mama and dada is, she knows what kind of food she likes and what she doesn't like....This list could go on and on.
In the past year she has stolen so many of our hearts. Family, friends, and co-workers. She was surrounded by so many great people at her birthday party. It was a huge success. It rained for about 30 minutes in the beginning of the party, but the sun soon came out and we enjoyed the day. I am so grateful to have so many loving people in her life.
This post could get really sappy and I could show you all how emotional I am but I'm not. Today has been a great day and I can't wait to get off work so I can take my little girl home and play with her. I'm making her a yummy dinner and then some yummy cupcakes. I really hope my little girl enjoys her day today.
She's amazed me so much in the past year and I know that the years to come are only going to get better and harder all at the same time. But this is something I am so very happy to get to experience with her. She makes me feel whole and is the best thing to ever happen to me.

Just rambling...ignore
Okay I'm expecting 30-40 people. Not including all the neighborhood kiddos that are bound to show up to play on our half jump half slide. Yep you heard that. I went all out. I got a half jump half slide and we're keeping it over night. So after the kids are sleeping it's grown up play time :) hehehe
Anyway...since we're expecting so many people I want to keep the food simple. Food and drinks can get expensive. That's why I'm taking my happy little butt to Sam's club today and buying hot dogs, sausage, hot dog buns, and cokes/water/juices. I'm sure buying the chips and candy at walmart will be fine. I am wanting to have some candy set out but we'll see if I actually go there. I have my candy buffet jars from our wedding and I'm thinking about being brave and trying to get the kids even more loaded up on sugar than they need to be lol
I want to make a velveeta rotel dip and have that and salsa set out with tortilla chips. Then have either plain or bbq chips set out too. I wanted to make these cute little marshmellow pops I seen floating around on the interwebs but I don't think I'm going to go there. I don't think I'll have the time or the patience. The few times I've tried to use melted chocolate it didn't really work.
K so today I need to buy food, drinks, decorations, outdoor stuff, presents....anything else? agh!

1 week left
Next Tuesday my daughter will be a year old. Yes you heard that right. Next week...1 year old! I'm feeling the anxiety coming. I'm feeling the tears coming. I'm feeling the nerves coming. I guess it's a good thing that her birthday party is this weekend so that when next Tuesday comes I'll feel like I have some practice in accepting that my little bitty babe isn't so little bitty anymore.
Her party is this Saturday. I'm super duper excited about it. I have been looking forward to this and planning this for a long time. I was supposed to go shopping Sunday but part of my life was taken and I had a day of insanity. I allowed myself that one day and I'm trying to focus on Calleigh to help me get through the miserableness I'm feeling right now. So Sunday's shopping trip didn't happen. It didn't happen last night because of the Saints game (which they won! SQUEEEEEE!!!) So today is a good day to get everything off the huge list done.
I have 2 party stores to go to in Lafayette if I can't get everything at one. I'm praying that babies r us has a birthday girl shirt. I'm praying that Academy or Target still has umbrellas and outdoor chairs so I can get my patio looking good. And I'm praying that I can get everything in one day....without having a breakdown in a store.

RIP My sweet Bear
Yesterday one of the best things in my life was taken from me by a stupid irresponsible driver. I was walking my dog and he was ran over by a neighbor. This neighbor then proceeded to get out of his car and yell at me as I was bawling like a baby over my dead dog. I am crushed. We buried him in our backyard and I felt like I was burying my son all over again. This dog was like my son. I know everybody grows attached to their pets but this is different. Darren bought me this dog 2 weeks after we started dating. I loved him from the moment I seen his furry little self. After we lost Wyatt I held this dog for 2 days and bawled. This is the longest Bear ever let me hold him without wanting to play or wanting to get down. He knew I was hurting and I he let me soak his fur with my tears. I always felt like God told Darren to buy this very expensive dog for this girl he just started dating because He knew He had other plans for our son. Bear was like therapy for me. He helped me when my psycho self wanted a baby to hold. He was my baby. Now he's gone.

This week has been a long week. I've been sick as a dog and working both jobs. The only good thing about working both jobs is that I'm keeping my sick germs away from Calleigh. There are many downfalls to this though. I'm not sleeping well, I'm not getting enough sleep, I'm a total cranky b*tch when I don't get to sleep. I need some rest and I'm so looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow morning! And it's taking me even longer than normal to get over this cold because I'm not getting enough rest. I feel dizzy and nauseous and I'm afraid to eat. I HATE being sick.
To not make this post sound like I'm a total Debbie Downer today I shall post about my favorite kinds of candy
Laffy Taffy
Snickers
Milky Way
Starburst
Skittles
M&M
3 Musketeers
Runts
Tootsie Rolls
Reese's (have to be out freezer or fridge)
Halloween is coming. Are you going to give out candy or go trick or treating? What are your favorite kinds of candy?

Old Songs
Today on Facebook one of my friends from high school was posting old videos from "back in the day". Some of these songs brought back fond memories, some not so fond. It's amazing how something as simple as a song can have you thinking about things and people you haven't thought about in years.
My high school years were great. They could of been better but I wouldn't trade those days for anything. I did exactly what I wanted when I wanted and I think I turned out pretty fine. I made great friends and great memories.
Freshman year was great and scary all at the same time. I had been going to school with my class for 3 years and felt like I knew most of them pretty well. But being thrown into high school I made new friends from different grades. It was awesome. I had 4 classes each semester and was pretty stoked I only had to worry about 4 classes of homework. I had 4 of my favorite teachers this year. They were awesome and remained to be my favorite even into my senior year.
Sophomore year was more relaxed but still scary. Honestly I think every year was scary because I was closer and closer to being thrown into the real world. I still had a pretty close group of friends. Even though I had more acquaintances but my close friends remained my close friends. I started working in January of my sophomore year and I started driving too.
Junior year was awesome. Can't really explain much more. I had fun classes, fun teachers, and fun times....lots of them!
Senior year was awesome and bad all at the same time. I thought I was grown and moved out. Moved in with some awesome roomies and partied hard. A little too hard at times but it was still memorable. I almost failed from missing too much school and being tardy. I missed almost a whole week for Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Yeah it was that serious but out of all 4 years my senior year was my favorite by far. Some of my best memories are from this year and wow is all I have to say.
I'll have to see if I can dig some of my pictures out and scan them. Just to see some of these pics would be awesome.

New Puppies!
We got a female pomeranian a few months ago. I think back in April...Not too sure. That's horrible that I can't remember. But anyway I tried my hardest to keep my male and female away while she was in heat. I guess I didn't succeed. She had two puppies early this morning! She did it all by herself too. I figured it would happen last night or this morning because she was leaking a clear fluid and I figured it was her water breaking. I'm so proud of my little Bella girl! One of her pups are white and the other is a light cream. Just like my Bella and Bear. So cute!

10 of my favorite things
Yeah this blog is normally about Calleigh and whatever happens to be going on in my life at the moment but I'm trying a few new things out. I want to post certain things on certain days and I want to post more often. Usually I don't post because nothing new has happened but I realize that's not a good blogger. So on Friday's I'll post a list of 10 things. Could be 10 favorite things like today, 10 favorite restaurants, 10 favorite cookies, 10 favorite cities....get my drift? This may not stick but hopefully it will.
Now in no particular order...
10) Curled up on the couch with a good book
9) Riding around with my windows down and good music blaring
8) Catching up on the phone with a really good friend
7) Playing with my doggies
6) Cooking something really amazing for the first time and it coming out awesome
5) Planning surprises for my loved ones
4) Watching a good movie with a big bowl of popcorn
3) Taking a long walk around my neighborhood or the city park
2) A hershey candy bar
1) A long hot bath at the end of a stressful day
If anyone reads this thing anymore what are some of your favorite things?

1 YEAR OLD PICTURES!!!
JCPenney's rocked my socks off with these photos. They were kinda pricey. It was $206 with the CD and a butt load of photos though so it's not that bad. I got half the pics at Sears and I like these better. The lady was really great with Calleigh and we got some great shots. These are only a few. I have the rest posted on my facebook so if you're friends with me on there then you've seen them.
Do you see her tutu? I made that! =)
Do you like it?
