Oh dear...

Well I had a dr appointment last Thursday. I haven't posted about my appointment yet but I will now. I brought Darren's mom with me because she wanted to hear the heartbeat. Well we go and we actually don't wait very long at all. We go back and my dr's nurse took all my vitals and whipped out the dopplar. She had problems finding the heartbeat. A few weeks ago I was very sick and had high fever. When I went in to see them then she had no problem finding it. It made me nervous and I'm actually still not feeling the best about my appointment but she didn't seem worried so I'm trying not to be. She would catch bits and pieces but wasn't entirely sure if it was the placenta or the baby. I had no idea the placenta gave off a noise for the dopplar!

Well we see the doc and he confirms my next appt and we leave. On the way home, Darren's mom asks me if she can come when we find out what we're having. Now, I have zero problems talking to my MIL because she's just that awesome. So I told her "look this is kinda something for me and Darren. You know..it's like our little family thing. it'll be the only appointment Darren comes to and I'd love it if it was just me and him" Well she didn't have a problem with it.

She then asks me who is all going to be in the delivery room! I tell her "Just me and Darren and the medical staff. Darren isn't allowed past my stomach." She says well when you delivered Wyatt you let T (Darren's sister) stay in the room. I tell her "Yes I let her stay but only because I couldn't stop crying to ask her to leave. I don't want anyone else in that room but us. It's a special time for us and after everything is all cleaned up and my legs are freaking closed everyone is more than welcome to come in"

She then asks if we're going to film the birth!!!!!

Okay I think that's where I almost slammed on my breaks (I was driving back to her house to drop her off) I turned to her and said "Why in the world would I want to film a baby coming out of me? That's not something I ever want to watch or ever want to show my children!" Apparantly Darren's sister let her parents film it with her two kids..I reminded her I wasn't T and that was something that was deffinately NOT being filmed. She proceeded to tell me I was wierd and was a freak since I didn't want to film the birth. She thinks I'm being to "over protective" of this pregnancy...hmmm...I actually prefer to think of it as mine and my husbands own personal choices. Well except the filming..that's my own damn choice. That's my girly bits all out in the open!

I'm wondering if I'm going to have problems with this basket case later on down the road in this pregnancy....

Car is paid off!

I just went and put my final carnote in the mail. I've been paying $222.18 a month since I got the car my sr year in high school as a "graduation present" that I had to pay for! When we got our taxes back we had a deal that Darren could put new tires on his truck and fix his work truck so he could quit driving his silverado to work and I could pay my car off. Whatever is left over we're putting it towards a loan to add onto our house for the baby's room and making our room bigger with a bigger closet. Can't wait for the summer so we can get started on all that.


My current cravings are: Spaghetti (which our friend Josh showed me how to make his homemade sauce. We started the sauce last night and let it cook for 2 hours, then let it cool and threw it in the fridge. Today we'll add the meatballs and let it simmer again for another 2 hours before we FINALLY EAT!!) Banana Nut bread (which Ali from the BR Nestie board mentioned and I HAD to have it..I baked a pan last night and had some for breakfast) Jellybeans (I have 2 bags of starburst jellybeans in my desk drawer) and also Laffy Taffy (I have 2 bags of them in my drawer also, and the best part is, it's only banana and strawberry flavorings in the bag! woot woot)

First baby dream

I had my first baby dream last night. It was so wierd too...me and Darren both have dark hair and dark eyes. The baby in my dream was a boy(yay) but he had blonde hair, blue eyes and was such a porker! I'm thinkin I was dreaming of Darren's son B as a baby but I don't know. Either way...my first baby dream and it was a boy! woo hoo...
This weekend is gonna suck...wet, cold, and rainy. I was thinking about tellin Darren lets go see a movie Sunday and eat lunch somewhere but with the weather I just want to stay home.

Warm Milk

Makes me gag thinking of it!! I want my milk ice cold...like I'll pour a glass of milk and put it in the freezer for 15-20 mins or so before I even drink it. Well last night I wanted just a few sips of milk with my thin mints. I didn't put it in the freezer..I just took a sip and I almost threw up in my mouth! It wasn't warm, but it wasn't cold. It was like a temperature of tap water. Very very nasty. I am calling a repair man for the fridge today..I might even just throw the damn thing away and buy a new one. I threw up my dinner and yes this is TMI so stop reading if you have a weak stomach..but penne noodles and chicken are very hard to throw up. Okay you can start reading again...my throat hurts and I'm not hungry at all this morning. I want to eat a BLT for breakfast but it just doesn't seem like it's gona happen...

Bad weekend

Well Friday wasn't that bad..I worked and went home..nothing big or abnormal. Saturday was a different story. I got up feeling fine, got ready for work feeling fine..got to work and BAM! I got the chills and started feeling really bad. I was supposed to close but I sweet talked another girl into switching with me so I got off before 8:30ish. I went home and took my temp..I had a fever of 100.7 so I ate dinner (yummy grilled chicken salad Darren made) and went straight to bed. I locked myself up in the room all night and most of the day Sunday because the kids were there and I didn't want to get them sick. Mostly because when they come, they're always sick and I usually catch their colds. For once, they weren't sick and I was..I didn't want them sick with whatever I had. Well Sunday while Darren was gone my fever got up to 102.5 and I almost went to the ER. I took some more tylenol and it came down. My fever stayed between 100.something-101.something for the rest of Sunday/night. Called my OB yesterday morning to let them know about my eventful weekend and he wanted me to come in ASAP.( On my info packed it says to let them know about any fever over 100 degrees) sweet nurse took my temp, asked about my symptoms, and then she let me hear the heartbeat after joking about the baby being boiled all weekend..It was such a great sound to hear! Yay for heartbeats!!
Anyway...today I feel alot better so I came to work.

1st year anniversary

Well yesterday was our first year anniversary and it was great. We slept late, got up and went to walmart to get stuff for our crawfish boil. Josh came over around 3 with the crawfish and the boys got to work. They were so good and between the 3 of us we ate almost a whole sack! I had taken our cake out Friday and thawed it out in the fridge, then took it out yesterday afternoon and left it on the counter. We ate some last night before going to bed and OH MY GOODNESS it still tastes as good as it did at our wedding. My stepmom did a good job of wrapping it up for us. It was such a good day!
We both work today and tonight but we're off all day tomorrow bc we're going to New Orleans for the concert!!! Can't wait! We're eating PF Changs before! YUM!! The banana spring roll is calling my name!

1st ultrasound pics!!!

As promised...here are pictures of our nugget. He is upside down right now and still in the yolk sac. You can barely see the sac around him but it's still there. He has 2 arm buds and 2 leg buds..no wee-wee bud yet though!

Sucky appointment

After I waited for an hour they finally called me to the back for an US. Found out my cervis is 90% tilted to my back..that explains my horrible back pain when I'm on my period. Anyway...she was having problems doing it abdominally so I got the dildo cam!! She said the baby was only measuring 8 weeks 5 days (according to LMP I'm 11 weeks 2 days)..my heart quit beating. It took me atleast 2 minutes to ask her if she even saw a heartbeat. She did and it was beating at 182bpm..wonderful numbers!! My new EDD is 10/3. Kinda bummed about my date getting pushed back but oh well! Atleast our nugget is healthy!

Stewwwpid Doctor

My first ultrasound is today and my doctor appointment was canceled. I'll just be going in for an US and they're taking my money for the first payment. Apparantly they're "triple booked" and can't fit me in since I'm only 11 weeks. Guess I'm not as important :( My last appointment was a month ago and this appointment was scheduled then. Oh well..atleast I get to have an ultrasound. I hope I'll be able to hear the heartbeat with that..I don't remember how that works. I was so excited to get to hear Nuggets heartbeat today at my appt but maybe the US tech can help me out. I'll post a pictures later today.

Busy week!

This is going to be one busy but fun week! Tomorrow is Mardi Gras and we're going to the parade in Metarie. It's huge (over 300) floats and it lasts all day. We have a big group of people going to so it'll be alot of fun. After the parade we're bringing the kids home and then going to eat at PF Changs on the way home. CAN'T WAIT!!!

Thursday is my first ultrasound and I get to hear the heartbeat for the 1st time also. I can't wait to hear my nuggets heartbeat and see him on the screen hopefully bouncing around so I can get some good pics!

Then next Tuesday (I know it's next week and now this week but oh well) I get to go see freakin britney spears! yay!!

Britney Britney Britney

Well our valentines went good. We both made some serious cash Sat night. I ended up giving Darren his gift Saturday night when we were eating dinner after we got home from work. He loved it! He bought me another flat wallet since mine was stolen in my purse. It's really pretty. My real present though is tickets to go see BRITNEY SPEARS on March 3rd!!!! I can't wait!!! The funny thing is..it's only 2 days after our 1st anniversary so that's gonna be our "celebration" type thing too. We're leaving work around lunch time that day and we'll head out that way. I'm sure we'll end up eating an early dinner somewhere around the super dome. I am so excited!! What sucks is..it's not until 7:30 and I'm sure we won't even leave New Orleans until 12ish so we'll be getting home laaaaate! Like around 2 or 3...it's such a long drive! And we both have to be at work for 6! I plan on sleeping ALOT that day at work! Glad I'm off that night...

Valentines Day

Well this weekend is going to be pretty busy. Me and Darren both work tonight and tomorrow night. We're doing our valentines day dinner Sunday night at Outback and I'm giving Darren his tickets to the WWE Monday night raw that I bought him. I bought him FLOOR TICKETS!!! I'm putting them in his V-day card. Sunday night can't come soon enough!

Today for lunch

I had a pickle. It wasn't a Vlasic pickle so it wasn't the best...but it was a dill pickle out of a bag from a gas station. Yummy...I'm sure I'll be hungry later..and for that I have a slice of papa johns pizza left over from the other night. Tonight is my only night off from the restaraunt this week and I'm going shopping after I leave work today to buy stuff to make lasagna with. I haven't made any in forever and I'm so excited! I'm even more excited about being able to get in the bed before 11:30! I'm aiming to be asleep before 9:30 but we'll see...

Just venting...

I've had a headache since last night and I hope it goes away soon. If not, I'll have to turn off my office light and lay my head down. Yes, it hurts that bad! It all started when I came home last night from work (I've been up since 5:30ish, and I work 2 jobs!) Well I pull up at home and D and his friend J are big chillen outside at 10:00. No big deal...I go inside, heat up my cold pizza dinner, walk in the living room and they already have the damn xbox turned on. Okay, no big deal. I go in the bedroom and watch the news. After I'm finished eating I realize I have two loads of clothes to fold and I need to wash a load of darks and towels so I start the darks. I then notice the kitchen is a mess so I start cleaning. I even put up the bags from walmart from when they went shopping while I was at work but didn't ask if I needed anything..I need breakfast, lunch, and waters. Then it hits me...D didn't have to work tonight...why the hell am I cleaning up the house and doing all this when he's been home since 5??? I ask him if he'll walk my dog so I can take a shower. He says sure but doesn't budge off the couch and doesn't put the xbox controller down. I stood there for a few more minutes...I give up and walk my dog myself. At this point my head is pounding and I'm so mad I can't even talk to either one of them. They pick up on this when their stupid asses are asking me if I want to watch tv now...no..it's almost 10:30 and I still need to take a shower. Well D asks if he can come take one with me and I told him he could if he really wanted to. He asks what my problem is and I let him know...he had nothing to say back. I get out the shower and I start texting my friend B to try and let off some steam so my pregnant emotional ass doesn't say something stupid to D. After a little while D asks if we're talking about him..no not anymore..can I read the texts he asks....sure if you really want to.... He reads them, gets pouty and gets up..goes lay down. Oh freakin well...if you didn't wanna know then don't ask to read my texts!! I'm not mad anymore this morning...I just still have my headache and I'm still aggrivated. If I have to work 2 jobs and two grown men are at home while I'm not...I shouldn't have to come home and do diddly freakin squat!!! Okay vent over...well for today...gosh I'm hating these emotions more and more every day...I need a xanax!

Crab cakes...

Taste like doo doo after you heat them up in the microwave!! DH, his friend, and I went and ate at Ruby Tuesday last night. I had the salad bar and a crab cake appitizer. I couldn't stuff the crab cake down my throat last night so I figured I'd save it for lunch today...BAD IDEA! I actually feel like I'm going to throw up on my desk right now. I don't think your supposed to heat up crab in the microwave...I haven't had morning sickness yet but I think this will be the first thing I throw up...I shouldn't of ate it..I shoulda just went and picked something up in drive thru somewhere. But I was so hungry...my lunch today sucked! Tomorrows lunch will be better because I'm going to eat smothered chicken at my friends grandparents house. Hope I can make it there, eat, and be back in 30 mins!

Today is the last day of my 8th week...two months down....seven more to go!

Horrible Day

Yesterday was such a horrible day! We were audited at work and we actually did good and that was a huge relief. We get to keep our ISO certification for another year. The bad thing is my purse was stolen out of my office. This shit just happened to me in October when someone busted my window out at my night job and stole my purse. Atleast this time, they didn't use my cards or anything. I turned everything off as soon as I noticed it was gone. I'm so upset. I wish they would of just stolen my wallet and not my purse. I loved my purse dearly. It was a $400 purple faux gator skin purse that my stepmom just bought me with the matching purple flat wallet. I asked for that for months before they bought it for me for Christmas. I'm so upset. The bad thing is..is they stole it out of my office while other people were upstairs. Someone had to have freakin heard the door open. I was downstairs eating lunch...if I would of just came back up here and ate instead of eating down there with the guys nobody would of stole it. Darren blamed me yesterday because he's mad bc his checkbook was in there....so freakin what...your purse wasn't stolen..your personal belongings that were in there wasn't stolen..your meds weren't stolen....I was hoping it would of been in the parking lot this morning thinking they dind't need it since there was only maybe a dollar or two in my wallet. Nothing valuable at all...they dind't even use my cards..so why keep it? Please bring it back!! I'm lost without it. so now, tomorrow on my day off, I have to go get a new license and today I'm going to the bank to unfreeze my account so I can pay my bills and get some cash out to get new meds them bastards stole from me! I can't get over it..who would steal a purse and why? And why didn't anybody see them come in here?? God I wish I wolda just ate my lunch up here instead...I'm going to pout for days over that purse!!!

The hospital called me to tell me about our benefits through BCBS. For the whole thing it's only going to cost us $504! 3 payments of $168. Not bad..I was expecting alot worse. I love my insurance! The sucky part is they only cover 2 ultrasounds..oh well...2 is better than nothing!

8 weeks!

I have the worst cold ever and I'm waiting on my nurse to call me back with a prescription of something to make it go away! I'm so upset that I can't take Nyquil...that is my fav thing to take when I'm sick. I love to sleep through colds...and I can't take it. I'm stuck with nasty robitussin that doesn't work at all! Anyway....this is whats goin on during my 8th week....

Honey and Lemon Tea

I'm sick as a dog right now and my best friend is a huge cup of honey and lemon tea. I am addicted! The funny thing is, is that I only want it when I'm sick and my throat hurts. I must have caught a cold from the kids last weekend because they are the only sick people I've been around in a while. I knew I was going to get sick too and I begged Darren to drive them home himself so I wouldn't be in the truck with them for 2 1/2 hours! He hates the drive alone and pouted so I gave in and went. Guess I learned my lesson...whats even worse is they are coming this weekend and I'm sure they 're still sick.

Oh and we have less than a month to go until we make our first year anniversary as a married couple! I have been looking for something fun to do but nothing is really going on. Guess we'll have to settle for dinner and a movie! I can't believe a year has already almost passed...

First Appointment

Well today was my first appointment and it was normal I guess. I peed in a cup for them and they did a pap and breast exam. He also did an internal..I guess that's what it's called. I didn't have time to ask before he stuck his lubed up finger up my hoo ha. He said my cervix is closed and everything "felt" fine..Thanks doc! I gave them 4 tubes of blood. They gave me a huge packet of info, some baby magazines, prenatals, and iron pills. Also gave me some info about different classes, breastfeeding, birthing.... The hospital wants me to come pre-register and take a tour at my next appointment which is Feb 26th. I also get an ultrasound and get to hear the heartbeat at that appointment. I should be 12 weeks and a few days at that appointment but I'll find out how far along I really am..or atleast pretty close to it with the US. They do 4 week appointments until I'm 32 weeks then it's weekly. Uhm I think that's all that they went over really. Our little nugget is doing great so far!
